Medicare Updates

Addressing questions on reimbursement for LPAA services is a priority for Aphasia Access. This effort became a priority because of a July 2016 ASHA Leader Article that raised questions about Medicare's regulations and how those apply to Life Participation Approach providers in a variety of settings. 

Below you will find information and resources meant to keep you informed about this issue, Aphasia Access' advocacy efforts, and how you can make your voice heard on behalf of people with aphasia, their families, the communities that you serve.

Aphasia Access shared a portal to allow members of the community to share their story of how a) Medicare regulations are impacting your work with people with aphasia and b) what solutions you would like to see ASHA champion to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
